Dearest William,

Thank you for keeping us updated -- may the very best and most auspicious karma arise swiftly without obstacle.

I'm happy to tell you this morning the Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche Red Tara group here in Auckland offered puja and tsog, and Amitayus mantras for Ecie. And I have just come home to an email from Chagdud Khadro asking for an update anes saying she is continuing her prayers. They are about to begin a Vajrakilaya drubchen at Khadro Ling in south Brazil, and Ecie will in all the prayers and dedications.

How wonderful to feel the magical net of loving prayer support encircling the globe -- just as Ecie has always done for everyone else along the way.

I pray you and the boys are taking good care of yourselves also; this is a long journey.

Very much love,

ani dianne

Hi .. anyone using the link below to find the Diamond Cutter Sutra, to read as advised by Lama Zopa Rinpoche ... it is also known as the Vajra Cutter Sutra and that is where the link will take you ... there is no mention of the Diamond Cutter Sutra, but it is correct just as it is.

Love

This advice from Lama Zopa Rinpoche to all FPMT centers has just been received:

Dear FPMT family,

As some of you will already know, Ecie Hursthouse, who is the founding director of Amitabha Hospice Service in New Zealand and a very devoted student of Rinpoche’s for many years was recently in a very bad car accident and is in hospital.

Lama Zopa Rinpoche is requesting if each FPMT center could please do 110 recitations of the Diamond Cutter Sutra as soon as possible, with strong dedications for Ecie’s recovery. Rinpoche requested each center to do 110 recitations if possible, otherwise please do as many recitations as your center can manage.

Rinpoche says this is the time when the FPMT organization must help Ecie, who has been working for the organization for so many years.

The specific dedication is:
For Ecie Hursthouse, if it is beneficial and there is karma for her quick recovery, and for her to live in bodhichitta and actualize enlightenment as quickly as possible. If not, for her to have a peaceful death and be reborn in the pureland and to achieve enlightenment as quickly as possible, or to receive a perfect human rebirth, meet a perfectly qualified Mahayana virtuous friend, be able to practice the Mahayana path and to become enlightened as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your kindness in making prayers for Ecie.

The Diamond Cutter Sutra is downloadable in various languages from http://www.fpmt.org/teachers/zopa/advice/vajracuttersutra.asp
----------------------

Of course, all are welcome to recite the Sutra for Ecie....thank you

Dearest William,

Cathy Frewen told me the news of Ecie this morning and asked for prayers
of support.

While I can only imagine the waterfalls of prayers that will come forth
from our FPMT family, please know I have sent personal prayer requests
to Chagdud Khadro, Lama Tsering Everest, Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, the three
year retreatants at Vajradhara Gompa ( Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche's
gompa), and apart from their personal prayers, Ecie ( and your family)
will be on on-going daily prayer lists in their main temples in
Australia, Brazil and USA.

While I know you are well supported and cared for, I send you very much
love, and if there is anything I can do to support or help in any way,
please feel free to ask.

May all the Buddhas come instantly to bless her swift and full recovery
... these are my prayers for you all.

With love,

Ani Dianne
